About Me - GAD123

My photo
Belfast, N.I., United Kingdom
I first got on the net over 15 (2009) years ago and have had my own site for at least 7 (2009) of those years (a place where I could dump the misery of my everyday life!), you can see my fist efforts @ www.freewebs.com/gad123 and my current blog @ www.gad123.co.uk . I am a kind person, smart, (I know that is subjective) and witty, the dry, sarcastic type! I am told that I am easy to talk to and am very laid back. I enjoy playing poker, listening to any music, watching movies & American TV shows, love going to the pub, dancing on a Saturday night and am a bit of a nerd as I own a Wii, PS3 and built my own PC! I am a creature of routine, love the night time when all the exciting things happen, am a bit of an insomniac and love getting trashed at the weekends! If you want, you can catch me on MSN @ graham@gad123.co.uk! Take care and enjoy you browse around this GAD123 Page!

The 7 P's...

Hey guys, missed me? I have just realised that I have only posted once this week, how sad is that?! I have nothing really to say unfortunately and my visits are falling to about 100 a day! I mean I could chat about the great weather today (I love the rain) or the events in Northern Ireland, how I am up to my eyes in work, that I have been working on this, that I am looking after a friends house while they are on holidays but quite frankly its boring! So you are getting this:

Ranked #1

I found it amusing that if you do a find on 'enhances your life' that you get a list of millions of sites and right at the top Ranked #1 is me, GAD123. The funny bit is that I never get any traffic from this search, why does no one want to enhance their lives?!

Last weeks Formula 1 race was very dramatic, come on Kimi Raikkonen, you can do it this weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix - Spa:

Live qualifying: Saturday 10 September 1130-1310 (ITV1)
Live race: Sunday 11 September 1200-1500 (ITV1)
Highlights: Monday 12 September 0010-0110 (ITV1)
Highlights: Tuesday 13 September 0100-0150 (ITV2)
Race replay: Thursday 15 September 0210-0450 (ITV1)

Anyway I am heading for a quite weekend, gonna play some Online Poker, the new PC games I got (3 for a tenner, bargain), catching up with folks on MSN messenger, hanging with John, F1 Race, sleeping and drinking beer, not while sleeping of course but if I could... Have a great weekend folks and I will catch you on the other side!

Ten Things

Did you know...George Clooney's father was a television news anchor?
BBC's 10 Things
Also...one in 18 people has a third nipple?!
Snippets harvested from the week's news, chopped, sliced and diced for your convenience:

1. One in 18 people has a third nipple.
2. More than 100 tons of ripe tomatoes are splattered about in Spain's Tomatina Festival.
3. The crumbed batter around fish fingers is cooked so quickly the fish inside stays frozen. In all, preparation and packaging takes just 35 minutes.
4. The Spanish smoke more Gauloise cigarettes than the French.
5. Michael Sheard, who played Grange Hill's terrifying deputy head Mr Bronson and who died this week, also appeared in the Empire Strikes Back (he played Admiral Ozzel) and in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (he played Hitler).
6. The section of coast around Cleethorpes has the highest concentration of caravans in Europe.
7. George Clooney's father was a television news anchor.
8. China makes about 40% of the world's socks.
9. And it has around 24,000 coal mines - more than 3,000 miners have been killed this year alone, in fires, floods and other work-related accidents.
10. Road signs in an Austrian village - whose seven-letter name begins with "F" and ends in "ing" - are now encased in theft-proof concrete to stop tourists stealing them.

Playing Poker...

Last night I played Poker Online for the first time, I needed to wind down. I used the offer below if you want to check it out, it gives you a free 25 bucks, instead of playing you can just cash it in if you want, HAPPYDAYS. The whole experience was fulfilling but I only won one game, even tho I had good hands, maybe the luck was just not going my way. Tho I must admit my game was not that tight. I played a .25/.50 game with a $25 buy in. If you are going to have a go make sure you fold everything that is not a stunning hand, bulling tactics did not work for me, suppose that's just cause the blinds and betting were so low!

Dreams and Links...

So I woke really early, like 6.30am on Sunday morning in a state of shock after the dream I had about a friend dying, it was not pleasant but upon investigating I discovered this *strokes chin*:

  • Death :
This is does not necessarily mean death in the literal sense but the end of a certain period of your life, the end of your worries or letting go of an old part of the self. So it can indicate that you are transforming yourself. On the other hand it could show that you are stuck on the routine of life and you need to revitalise your life.

Then last night I drempt of vampires, amazing dream and here is the apparent meaning:

  • Vampire:
Transition symbol, frequently associated with initiation rites, especially the loss of one's virginity. When a vampire bites you, you become “one of them.” Also may be associated with a person who “drains your energy.”

I will let you put these together and see what you come up with. I often have Lucid Dreams and those dreams where you are paralysed, not able to move, half awake and half sleeping, calling out but not able to speak. They freak me out a bit!

Blog Blogging...

Yesterday I did a little bit of messing around with the blogging software at Blog Spot. It seems great, easy to use, very customisable. Anyway after half an hour or so (yes I know it needs a lot more work) I came up with this profile and this gad123 blog. Now, my main site will always be www.gad123.co.uk  but as a little distraction, till I shortly get bored, I will be posting at gad123 blog also!

Oh and I posted some new photos on my MoBlog! Also read this today and it made me laugh Festival Goers With Trench Foot!

Am I, Honestly..?

Ahhhh, what to post today!? Someone said I was good looking last night and I was trying to quantify that! I mean I aren't no Brad Pitt and thankfully I don't sing for Motorhead, so how do you rate looks? Taste comes in to it for sure, as does dress sense, hair style - I lacked one last night - etc! Are there 2 scales for looks? The Johnny Depp one for models and such like, the one from which I am exempt (have a government pass) and the Postman Pat one for all us normal people, like me!

Anyway, anyone who wants to tell me I am a hot and sexy stud, fire away, especially if you want to see me all red faced from the sheer embarrassment of it! Tho I must warn you it may also mean you will become my date for the prom!

Oh, some more things. Coldplay are coming here in December, I should really go to that as they are one of my favourite bands! Today Britain was to announce new measures to combat extreme Internet pornography, read more :: here ::. Well there we go folks, the long weekend is almost over. I decided to work today so I don't get the benefits you lot probably do but ah well, such is life. This weekend I have been looking at friends PC's, I love messing about with computers! Got Shelley's sorted but did not get John's sound card installed, which reminds me, where is that Win98 CD?!

I was hoping for TV coverage on the reading and Leeds festivals but... Nothing! Caught some of it on Radio 1 tho. Tonight I have the MTV awards, Lost on RTE and then bed, cause I am wrecked. Going to bed at 5am is not good, especially when you are up again at 10am to take your niece round the market, etc that is part of the Sea Bangor festival!
