I first got on the net over 15 (2009) years ago and have had my own site for at least 7 (2009) of those years (a place where I could dump the misery of my everyday life!), you can see my fist efforts @ www.freewebs.com/gad123 and my current blog @ www.gad123.co.uk . I am a kind person, smart, (I know that is subjective) and witty, the dry, sarcastic type! I am told that I am easy to talk to and am very laid back. I enjoy playing poker, listening to any music, watching movies & American TV shows, love going to the pub, dancing on a Saturday night and am a bit of a nerd as I own a Wii, PS3 and built my own PC! I am a creature of routine, love the night time when all the exciting things happen, am a bit of an insomniac and love getting trashed at the weekends! If you want, you can catch me on MSN @ graham@gad123.co.uk! Take care and enjoy you browse around this GAD123 Page!

Rhythms Del Mundo Monarch in South Park...

You have to check out Rhythms Del Mundo featuring Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs... It's great fusion songs and Dimples will appreciate that it's saving the planet too with £2 of each sale donated to the Artist Project Earth charity. Years ago I picked up on Buena Vista Social Club but this takes that one step further and brings it to the masses as we all know these popular songs already. This morning on the Radio 1 breakfast show, Chris Moyles was getting Comedy Dave to try and guess the tracks, some of them took a while sounding "it's on the tip of my tongue" familiar! It's going to be the sound track to the summer I suspect, makes you wanna order Corona in the bar with a lime wedge in the top!!

I have not watched it yet but South Park's latest Eps features the Queen committing suicide in some 24 parody so that is on my list to watch this weekend, along with Lost, Weeds, Smallville, etc! I assume a big deal will be made about it here!

Well there you have it, another week gone. I am ill (Glandular fever finally peaking, stuffy nose, raw throat, sore head, dodgy belly, cough, blah!) so lying low this weekend. Go check out that CD, you will not regret it and it will make you smile all weekend, it's certainly lifting my sprits!

There's a new video games channel launching on Sky soon. It's called XLeague.tv and the idea is that the core entertainment comes not from reviews of games, but from participating in and watching competitive rounds of multiplayer video games. An interesting idea I am sure you will agree but it's been tried on other stations as a 30 min show, relatively successfully too. Can it sustain a hole channel, I think not. It needs a whole host of gaming and PC shows, probably syndicating Babecast or something after midnight, so good luck with getting advertising revenue with that! There was a station perniciously that did something similar but it folded, can't remember what it was, game something maybe!

Ian Paisley and Gerry Adams have agreed to share power on 8 May, finally and chancellor Gordon Brown has allocated £35bn pledged by the government over four years as an incentive for this to happen. Now all I need to know is who needs my bank details for my share to be transferred in to my account...

3 Years Blogging & Loosing at Poker...

Just over 3 years ago I set up a website, I suppose it was not static and was the father of my current blogging. You can view the Feb 2004 Site/Blog here. It was not until later that I posted here at Bravenet on Sunday, November 21st 2004 but I started blogging on Blogger @ 13/4/2004 09:27:00 PM! You can download myFirst Ever Ever Post here! Not that exciting in its self but when you think some half a million people have walk through these doors it means more. If only they could give me a pound each I would be a happy man! Anyway I hope something here has tugged a heart string, made you laugh, raised your awareness, enlightened or annoyed over the last 3 years and you all feel the need to come back for more. THANKS FOR VISITING!

Been finding it tough at online poker the last couple of weeks and in the real world too, especially with pocket A's (have lost with them the last 10 times I have seen them), the following typifies my luck:

So after Meys comment I suppose I should write something on the budget. There are good things there but ultimately it's given by one hand and taken with the other. On a personal level it's all loose, loose. Fags, booze, petrol, tax, in everything I am screwed over! If only I was married with a couple of kids, then I would be rubbing my hands with glee! Then again... lol

On a more positive note my PC is sorted. Even tho it seems like a bit of a resource hogger I have managed to get my hands on an older cracked version of ZoneAlarm Pro, so that's the Firewall issue sorted! I must remember to chase up my copy of Vista as it's yet to arrive!

PC Heroes...

E-Mail GAD123 :: E-Mail GAD123

After running my PC for 4 months, with only a few hours here and there down time it finally fell over, nothing really major but in classic PC style none the less. Lots of programs reset to default, my firewall crashed and refused to reinstall (now looking for another one, I need something free, with port forwarding, if someone can help), etc. I think it was heat that caused the problem, well that and the old dust bunnies. So it's getting opened up and cleaned out, still need to drop in my new fan but can't be bothered taking out the mother board at the mo!

All checks done, anti this and that programs run, fingers crossed and all is currently well, thank god as my back up is not up to date!!!!

So, Heroes, you have heard of it, right??! I can't say enough good things about it and don't want to spoil anything but it's currently on the Sci-Fi Channel in the UK and will be huge in the summer when it reaches BBC2. Basically you will love it if you are in to comic books, X-Men, Sci-Fi, well written and fun escapist drama. Sounds like it's for kids but it's really quite dark, every eps has a jaw dropping cliff hanger ending, everyone is connected and everyone is not what they appear to be, good or evil!

I started re watching it (seen the first 4 previously) with Dimples (HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and could not stop! 24 hours and 18 Eps later I have finished the series. I believe it starts again on the 23rd April in the States, so bring it on! Speaking of Heroes, how fantastic was Kimi in winning the F1 race, that's my hero, emotionless, cool as a cucumber, consistent, brilliant!

F1, Mostly...

What to talk about today... My rash is growing... My Birthday weekend is off...The election results...My weekend of birthday fun... Formula 1... Yip, lets do F1!

The TV Schedule is not up yet but you can catch qualifying for the Australian GP on ITV1 on Saturday 17 March at 0220-0420. Which is the perfect time for me. I really can't wait as this season should, SHOULD, be the closest and most exciting in a long time. Lots of rule, driver and team changes, all without Michael Shumacher! I tip Kimi Raikkonen, I always do but this time he is in a car that's capable of finishing a GP, it's going to be bloody close tho! One downer I must point out now and I am sorry if your a fan and don't get this but because the engine rev limit is turned down ie limited, the over taking is a lot harder as the engine proformance of a top and bottom car is practally the same. This means car advantage is gained via a good areo package and we all know that when you get close to another car it's all out the window! Still it puts more emphasis on the driver, so come on Kimi!

Have a good weekend folks!

SOUTH PARK, Piracy and Glandular Fever...

I think I may have Glandular Fever; sore throat, wrecked and now have a rash. As far as I remember last year I was ill around my birthday, so, for now it's going down as a birthday thing. I am sure that I can cope, it should be gone in a few days, well it better be because I am getting trashed this weekend! Got to celebrate turning 32 and all! YES I AM OLD!

South Park is back for a new series, the 11th and in the first esp. the 'N' Word epidemic reaches South Park. New cases of people using the 'N' word are on the rise in an all new South Park entitled, 'With Apologies to Jesse Jackson'. While the citizens of South Park must contend with the widespread use of the racial slur, Cartman fights a midget! Obviously!!

Finally:

Piracy we all suffer

Voting in the Second Life Clouds...

Hope you all had a good weekend. The usual drinkin/Wii action for me! I am celebrating my birthday this weekend so wanted a quite one. Thanks for all the birthday messages I have received, it's not actually on the 1st! It's been in the news this week but who in their right mind would give their real date out for all to see on the interwebnet!

I don't really understand why we are doing this yet again but the run up has been suspiciously quite and only now with days to go are the parties beginning to make themselves heard. The Greens where the first to put up the usual signage, tho I can't see them polling much higher than in any election before in N.I.

It's weird here when voting, unfortunately you can't vote for policies that pertain to the big issues; Water rates, Health, Education and the big one for me the Economy. Like it or not, power sharing, direct rule or a united Ireland are the choices (tho some parties have made a stab this time round at tackling the issues that the old doorstep jaunt raises) and a vote for a smaller party is nearly as bad a voting for the 'other side'! *sigh* Is it all even important anyway? The whole assembly is wrapped up in red tape and as far as I can figure, the only real power in this devolved government is choosing the day we leave our coloured bins out, of course one is green and the other blue, so there is plenty for the MLA's to get their teeth in to!

I finally got round to checking out Second Life and it's time I am never going to get back, wasted and not even a story to tell. It's slow, blocky, full of twat's and I don't see the point. If you wanna chat and make new 'friends' use a community site, what's the point in lying about who you are... If you wanna live in a fantasy world, try World of Warcraft which does it a million times better, simple! The only positive thing I can say is it is an attempt at making the web 3D but it's another few years off before we see that with any real usability!

Lastly, because it's been a while I give you GAD123's Blog Word Cloud:
